Prime minster of Pakistan Imran khan

Imran Khan is the current Prime Minister of Pakistan, having assumed office on August 18, 2018. He is a former cricketer, philanthropist, and politician who rose to fame as the captain of the Pakistani cricket team, leading them to victory in the 1992 Cricket World Cup. He founded the political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in 1996 and has been its chairman since then.

Khan's political journey began in the 1990s when he started advocating for social and political reforms in Pakistan. He established the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Lahore, which provides free cancer treatment to thousands of patients every year. He also founded Namal College, a university in Mianwali that provides affordable education to students from underprivileged backgrounds.

Khan's political career faced many ups and downs. He contested elections several times but was unsuccessful in winning a seat in the National Assembly until 2002. However, he resigned from his seat in 2007, protesting against the government's decision to allow former President Pervez Musharraf to contest the presidential election while still serving as the army chief.

Khan's party PTI gained momentum in the 2013 general elections, emerging as the second-largest party in the National Assembly. However, the party's electoral success was marred by allegations of rigging, and Khan led a series of protests demanding a fair investigation into the matter.

In the 2018 general elections, PTI emerged as the largest party in the National Assembly, winning 116 out of 272 seats. Khan was elected as the prime minister of Pakistan, and his party formed a government with the support of independent candidates and smaller parties.

Since assuming office, Khan has focused on several key areas, including economic reforms, social welfare programs, and foreign policy. One of his government's primary goals is to revive Pakistan's economy, which has been struggling for many years. Khan has launched several initiatives to attract foreign investment, including the establishment of special economic zones and the introduction of business-friendly policies.

Khan has also initiated several social welfare programs aimed at improving the lives of underprivileged citizens. The Ehsaas program, launched in 2019, is a poverty alleviation initiative that provides financial assistance to low-income families. The Kamyab Jawan program is another initiative aimed at providing loans and vocational training to young entrepreneurs and job seekers.

On the foreign policy front, Khan has taken steps to improve Pakistan's relations with neighboring countries, particularly India and Afghanistan. He has offered to engage in dialogue with India to resolve long-standing issues, including the Kashmir dispute. He has also taken steps to improve relations with Afghanistan, including opening the Torkham border crossing 24/7 to facilitate trade and people-to-people contacts.

However, Khan's government has faced criticism on several fronts, including its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, the deteriorating security situation, and its relations with the military. Pakistan's response to the pandemic has been criticized for being slow and ineffective, and the country has been grappling with a rising number of cases and deaths.

The security situation in Pakistan has also deteriorated under Khan's government, with a series of terrorist attacks and sectarian violence. The government has been criticized for not taking adequate measures to address the situation.

Khan's relationship with the military has also come under scrutiny, with critics accusing him of being too close to the military establishment. Khan's detractors claim that he has allowed the military to interfere in the government's affairs and that his policies are influenced by the military's agenda.

In conclusion, Imran Khan's tenure as Prime Minister of Pakistan has been marked by both achievements and challenges. His government has launched several initiatives aimed at reviving the economy
